TOURISM

Pioneers Pathway
BDB was invited by a regional working tourism committee to market their collective region spanning 7 shires and 300 kms, and focussing on the lucrative self-drive market.
Pioneer's Pathway was the outcome, a strongly themed drive route. BDB developed the WATC approved tourism logo, 12 page booklet, postcard and bumper sticker, along with posters, signage and information bays, and an attractive website to support and promote the Pioneers' Pathway to the broader community.

The Pioneers' Pathway has now literally put these regional shires 'on the map' - apearing in the latest popular HEMA road map, the subject of numerous articles in print and on the web.

Regional shires are extremely please with the results and have since asked BDB for 2 more re-prints of the popular booklet.

LOCAL SHIRE

Serpentine Jarrahdale Shire
SJ Shire required an upgraded website to fulfill specific criteria: Clean design, clear & logical, easy to find information; full administration control over all aspects of the content.

The site was launched early 2004 and has far exceeded the clients expectations. In little over a year, the website has transformed the way council communicates with its constituents and the general public. It has now become a invaluable communication tool for all the community, from an increasing repository of downloadable information to community & business directories. Staff can utilise the website to survey the public, send out e-newsletters in an instant. Secure 'councillor lounge' area was also designed for councillors to share information.

The site has been an overwhelming success, receiving kudos from both within the shire and around the state.

STATE GOVERNMENT

Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus Project
The Department of Planning & Infrasturcture (DPI) in conjunction with the Gravity Discovery Centre asked BDB to help them promote education modules developed to promote Clean Energy, and the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Project run by the DPI in Perth.

BDB created an Interactive Kiosk that has been installed on-site at the GDC, which presents educational movies and animations to the public via a fun interactive interface.

It was vital the education programs reached a larger audience as possible. A website designed by BDB was launched by Hon. Alannah Mctiernan: "The education package is designed to introduce young Western Australians to the concepts behind clean fuel technology such as hydrogen, and spark a genuine interest in what can be done to re-think our energy options for the future," Ms MacTiernan said.

The website currently ranks highly with search engines, including an impressive #3 in the world from 30,400 results for 'ecobus'.

BDB continues to work with the DPI EcoBus team to better promote their message, thru design of email newsletters, mobile banners and promotional material.
